New Orix cross flow fans from Oriental Motor (UK) Limited create a wide uniform flow of air using 150mm or 300mm impellers. Ideal for cooling circuit boards installed in electronic equipment to improve reliability, in addition to air curtains and other applications, the MF and MFD series offer the advantage of right angle airflow and rectangular shape which facilitates installation in corners and saves space. The MF, single phase AC series is rated at 200, 220 and 230 volts, with the 150mm impeller length model operating at 2650 - 3250 rpm to deliver 3.4 - 4.1 m3 of air per minute, and the 300mm impeller length operating at 2500 - 3000 rpm to deliver 6-6.8 m3 of air per minute.

The MFD, 24V DC series also has two impeller lengths, with the 150mm length operating at 250 rpm to deliver 3.0 m3 of air per minute, and the 300mm length operating at 2100 rpm to deliver 5.2 m3 of air per minute.

Both series feature a thermal protector so if for any reason the motor overheats, it is safely brought to a stop and then restarted when the temperature has cooled sufficiently.

An optional finger guard is also available.

Oriental Motor (UK) Limited manufacturer a comprehensive range of quality UL / CSA and CE approved motor, drive and associated products for industry.

Hammond Electronics has introduced a range of low cost, easy to fit IP54 filter assemblies, suitable for use in conjunction with 80 and 120mm fans or as stand-alone exhaust filters.
Hammond Electronics has introduced a range of low cost, easy to fit IP54 filter assemblies, suitable for use in conjunction with 80 and 120mm fans or as stand-alone exhaust filters. The filters extend beyond the aperture in the panel, enabling slight imperfections in the cut-out to be hidden, saving rework time during assembly. The IP54 filters enable forced ventilation to be provided for the cabinet while preserving the environmental sealing of the unit, excluding harmful dust and moisture.

Available in black, grey and beige, the filters are two-part assemblies with the filter element accessible for cleaning or replacement from the outside by simply releasing the outer cover from the inner frame.

The inner cover, which incorporates an extruded gasket to seal to the enclosure wall, is secured using the fan’s normal fixings.

Fan Technology has introduced to the UK a new DC fan from ETRI powered from a redesigned motor that provides optimum fan performance in terms of airflow and noise.
Fan Technology, an Aerco company, has introduced to the UK a new DC fan from ETRI powered from a redesigned motor that provides optimum fan performance in terms of airflow and noise. The ETRI 300 Series is available in a family of five frame sizes from 40 to 172mm and in 5, 12, 24 and 48V supply voltages. The newly developed motor and improved impeller design produces a markedly improved airflow for the same blade speed resulting in a reduced operating noise level for the same cooling effect.

The 300 Series produces airflow up to 325 CFM at a noise level of only 63dB(A).

Ideally suited for cooling modern, sophisticated equipment where high performance and low noise are key design parameters, all fans in the series are also available with speed sensor and alarm options making them suitable for advanced intelligent cooling systems.

RiCool, Rittal’s new variable speed blower, provides effective cooling of densely packed VME or CompactPCI subrack systems.
RiCool, Rittal’s new variable speed blower, provides effective cooling of densely packed VME or CompactPCI subrack systems. When mounted side by side in a subrack the RiCool blowers give 220 cfm of airflow at 0in static pressure. Air is drawn up through the cPCI boards and then exhausts out the back of the subrack via the powerful backward curved impeller - using only 1U of rack space.

At a static pressure of 0.25in of water, Rittal’s RiCool blower provides over 90cfm of airflow each, and continues to provide cooling at static pressures in excess of 1.0in of water, far exceeding the capabilities of typical 482.6mm (19-inch) rack mounted axial fan trays.

Rittal’s RiCool also offers an alarm output via fan speed sensor, speed control capability, long life, easy access, and hot swap capability to use with no extra ducting.
