STMicroelectronics has introduced a family of high-frequency rectifiers for use on the secondary side of telecoms power supplies where voltage spikes in the 250 to 280V range are often experienced.

The STTHxx03 series devices retain the performance of the 200V BYW family but are built with a process that increases the repetitive peak reverse voltage rating to 300V.

The reverse leakage current of 20 micro A at a junction temperature of 25 degrees C is 10 times lower than previous devices, while the forward voltage drop has been increased by 100mV.

Devices are available in dual centre tap configurations offering 2 x 10A, 2 x 15A, 2 x 30A, 2 x 60A, 2 x 80A and 2 x 100A average forward current ratings as well as a single 8A device, and package options include TO-220, TO-247, ISOTOP and the surface mounting D2PAK.
