Video core supporters gather in Barcelona

Imagination Technologies will be showcasing the latest applications processors and development systems from its licensing partners, new OEM handsets using those application processors, and advanced multimedia content enabled by its PowerVR graphics and video cores, on its stand this week at the 3GSM World Congress 2006 in Barcelona, Spain. Licensing partners and OEM handset manufacturers on the stand will include: Freescale, Intel, Renesas, Samsung, SKTelecom, Sony Ericsson, and Texas Instruments. Imagination’s PowerVR Insider partners on the stand will include: Acrodea, Aspyr Media, Esmertec, Fathammer, Futuremark, HI Corporation, Bling Games by Lagardere Active, Pulse Interactive, Superscape, Tao Group, TAT and The Code Monkeys.
The latest mobile application processors from Imagination’s licensing partners will be on show at 3GSM including advanced user-interface demonstrations, hardware accelerated Java (JSR 184/239) implementations and stunning 3D games content.
Application processor and handset demonstrations include: Freescale i.MX31 development platform; Intel i2700G products including Dell Axim X50v/X51v and Pepperpad; Renesas SHMobile3 development platform; Samsung S3C2460 development platform; stunning 3D games from SKTelecom; Sony Ericsson P990i running 3D applications and games on symbian OS 9.1; and Texas Instruments OMAP2420 and OMAP2430 software development platforms.
PowerVR Insider demonstrations include: Acrodea’s VIVID UI and VIVID Message; Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 Pocket PC Edition from Aspyr Media; Fathammer games content on SKTeletech IM 8300, Motorola MS 550, and Dell Axim X50v/51v; Futuremark’s 3DMarkMobile06 benchmark, running on six platforms; HI Corporation’s MascotCapsule V4; the upcoming driving game with an hip-hop attitude from Bling Games by Lagardere Active on OMAP2420/2430; Pulse Interactive’s QuakeMobile and Expansion Packs; a mixed 2D/3D mobile TV user interface from TAT; SuperScape Java games on OMAP2420 using Esmertec’s Java Virtual Machine; Tao Intent on OMAP2420 running a suite of premium native 3D games applications; and The Code Monkeys’ extreme sport game Jump.
